Tucker #1033

I was wondering if anybody knows the whereabouts of Tucker #1033. I've aquired several documents and other items from my Grandfather. On document had me intrigued. It's a sequence allotment form for car #1033. For reasons unknown my Grandfather never did purchase the car. He's no longer alive so I can't ask him what happened, but I would still like to know where the car is. Maybe if I win the lotto I can buy it and have my Grandfathers dream. I live in Chicago and find everything involving the Tucker Automobiles very interesting. I have an original Prospectus, stock certs, original radio(still in box), and the luggage set, as well as an original picture of a Tucker. I feel very fortunate to have all this. Please don't ask if I want to sell any of it. It means way to much to me, being it was my Grandfathers. In the Prospectus it has a picture of the original plant on S. Cicero Ave, on the south side of Chicago. This is now a Mall called Ford City. My have things changed. Anyway, I would be interested in any information anybody has on Tucker #1033. Thanks in advance! Tucker 1033

Your Grandfather had a dealers sequence number that indicates he would have received the 33rd. Tucker received by that dealership. It does not indicate that he would get Tucker Serial Number 1033. This sequence number system was set up by Tucker Corporation to combat the blackmail going on after WW2 when dealers would get new cars from the factory and sell them to the person offering the most money above the invoice price. We will never know if that system would have worked as Tucker never got to the point of mass production of the vehicles. To get these sequence numbers the purchaser ordered several items, such as a radio, seat covers heaters or luggage.<br>
